Did I Give God My First Fruits?

This past week was a very busy one. It seemed to pass by so quickly that I found myself wondering something important.
In the busyness of the week, did I truly give my all to God?
There were so many good things filling my time. I spent time catching up with a dear friend I had not seen in quite a while. I enjoyed seeing the sights of a new town. I also spent some much needed time with my husband as we celebrated our anniversary.
These were all wonderful, calming moments.
But the question still lingered in my heart. Did God receive my first fruits the way He always should?
As I reflected on the weekend, the answer became clearer.
One evening I sat on the porch with my dear friend, and together we praised His holy name. We talked about Scripture and listened to music that glorified Him. Those quiet conversations reminded me again of how faithful God is.
Each morning when I woke up, my first thoughts were on Him. My day began with Scripture reading and prayer. And at night it ended with praise and worship.
Still, I wondered.
Was it enough?
The honest truth is this: no matter how much time I spend with Him, it will never feel like enough compared to what He has done for me.
Yet God loves me and cares for me. He listens when I pray. He rejoices when I praise His holy name.
He keeps me calm in the storms of life and gives me rest in His presence when I am tired and weary.
When I prepare my Bible study lessons, He speaks through His Word so that the teaching may touch others. And the more time I spend with Him, the more He continues to draw me closer and closer.
God has blessed me tremendously, and I am eternally grateful for the salvation He offers.
He truly is my all in all. My King of Kings.
God desires a personal relationship with every person. And He will meet us there if we are willing to seek Him with true repentance in our hearts.
Scripture reminds us that He is faithful and just to forgive us of all our sins when we confess and repent.
Time is running short. Salvation is at hand.
So love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.
He is well worth it.
