Winter Edition | Formation

Winter invites us to slow down and let Scripture settle deeper into our bones. This edition guides you through a season of quiet formation with anchor books, weekly rhythms, and margin-friendly practices that help you notice God’s presence in the stillness. You’ll read at a sustainable pace, reflect with intention, and let the Spirit shape you from the inside out. It’s a gentle beginning to a year of becoming well rooted in the Word.

Weekly Formation Guides

The Well-Read Bible Project releases one week of Scripture each Sunday. This isn’t about limiting progress or slowing anyone down arbitrarily. It’s about creating space. Spiritual formation does not happen through speed. It happens through presence, repetition, and time spent listening.

When Scripture is released gradually, we are invited to stay with the text longer. To notice what rises up in us. To hear what the Holy Spirit is emphasizing right now, not what comes next. God often speaks in the lingering, not the rushing.

Releasing Scripture weekly helps shift Bible reading from a task to a relationship. Just like any meaningful relationship, depth grows through consistency, patience, and shared time. When we move too quickly, we may cover more ground, but we miss what God is forming in us along the way.

Each Sunday is an invitation to begin again. To slow down. To savor the Word. To sit with Jesus and let Scripture do its work in us. There is no finish line here. Only faithfulness.
