Our Beliefs

In all things: We hold Jesus as the center, the gospel as our anchor, and Scripture as our authority.

What We Believe

At The Well Read Bible Project, everything begins and ends with God’s Word. We are rooted in the gospel of Jesus Christ and committed to the historic Christian faith as affirmed in the evangelical and Baptist tradition. Scripture is our final authority for faith, life, and practice.

The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16–17; Hebrews 4:12). It is completely true and trustworthy and serves as our final and sufficient guide in all matters of doctrine and life.

God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). He is holy, sovereign, just, and merciful, and He created all things for His glory.

Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man (John 1:1–14). He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died as a substitutionary sacrifice for our sins, rose bodily from the grave, and ascended into heaven. He alone is the way of salvation (John 14:6; Romans 10:9–10), and through Him we are reconciled to God.

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer at salvation (Romans 8:9–11), sealing us for redemption and empowering us for godly living. He convicts of sin, produces spiritual fruit, and equips believers with spiritual gifts for the building up of the Church.

The Holy Spirit always works in harmony with Scripture and never apart from or in contradiction to God’s revealed Word (John 14:26).

Humanity and Sin
We believe all people are created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26–27) but are fallen through sin (Romans 3:23). Because of sin, all are separated from God and in need of redemption.

Salvation
We believe salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8–9). It cannot be earned by works. It is the free gift of God, secured by Christ’s finished work on the cross. All who truly trust in Christ are forgiven, justified, and made new.

The Church

We believe the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all who have trusted in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior (1 Corinthians 12:27). Christ is the head of the Church, and He has given the local church as His design for worship, discipleship, accountability, and mission.

We affirm believer’s baptism by immersion as a public declaration of personal faith in Christ and identification with His death, burial, and resurrection (Romans 6:3–4). Baptism does not save, but it is an act of obedience that follows salvation.

Restoration and Care

We believe God cares for the whole person—mind, body, and soul (1 Thessalonians 5:23). Because we are created in His image, our spiritual lives affect our thoughts, emotions, and daily habits.

Our ministry seeks to apply Scripture faithfully to areas of spiritual formation, emotional growth, and practical life. These applications are never a replacement for the gospel or the authority of Scripture, but flow from the sufficiency of God’s Word and the transforming work of Christ.

The Return of Christ
We believe Jesus Christ will return bodily and visibly to judge the living and the dead and to fully establish His kingdom (Acts 1:11; Revelation 21:1–4).

In all things, we hold Jesus as the center, the gospel as our hope, and Scripture as our final authority.
