Seeing God in the Everyday

There are things in this world that we may never fully understand—things that amaze us, things that bring us joy, things that confuse us, and even things that feel ordinary or unnoticed.
The other day, I found myself simply looking out the window.
I watched the birds flying about, searching for food, only to find it right there before them. I noticed the wasps working diligently, building a nest near the entrance of the house. The leaves on the trees swayed gently in the breeze, almost as if they were whispering. The grass stretched out in vibrant green, dotted with flowers in bloom, each one adding its own beauty to the landscape. Above it all, soft, puffy clouds drifted across a bright blue sky.
In those quiet moments, my heart turned toward God.
Because when you really stop and see it—truly see it—creation speaks.
“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.”—Psalm 19:1
God did not need to create any of this… and yet He chose to.
He chose to create the trees, the birds, the flowers, the sky—and He chose to create you and me. Every detail, every color, every living thing reflects His intentional love and creativity.
“Consider the birds of the air: they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.”—Matthew 6:26
Just as He cares for the birds, He cares for us.
What a humbling and beautiful truth.
When we begin to see the world through this lens, even the simplest moments become sacred. The rustling leaves, the buzzing of insects, the warmth of the sun—these are not random occurrences. They are reminders. Invitations. Gentle whispers from a loving Creator drawing us back to Him.
“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.” —Psalm 24:1
Because of this, we are not just observers of creation—we are stewards of it.
God entrusted this world to us, not for careless use, but for faithful care. To honor what He has made is, in many ways, to honor Him.
“The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.”
—Genesis 2:15
So often, life moves quickly. We rush from one responsibility to the next, missing the beauty that surrounds us. But there is an invitation here—to slow down.
To look.
To notice.
To rest.
“Be still, and know that I am God.”—Psalm 46:10
Take time to sit in His presence. Step outside and breathe deeply. Let your heart settle. Notice what He has placed right in front of you.
And as you do, give Him praise.
Give Him glory for the beauty you see, for the life you experience, and for the care He shows in even the smallest details.
Let creation lead you back to the Creator.
Let it remind you that you are known, you are cared for, and you are part of something far greater than yourself.
So today, take a moment.
Look at the beauty.
Feel the wonder.
Rest in His presence.
And see Him—
in all of creation.
